David Burbano - Piano, Composer, Orchestrator, and Producer
Mr. Burbano was born in Bogota, Colombia where he studied orchestration and piano at Universidad Javeriana and finished his studies at Universidad de Antioquia, where he obtained his Bachelors Degree. He also holds a Masters Degree in Film Orchestration from University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
He has played piano for over 20 years. He has played at numerous events all over South America. He is also known for his prestigious compositions and orchestration arrangements for films in Mexico, Colombia, and Argentina. He is currently the music director at Non-Denominational Christian Church and at Bethany Christian Church Contemporary Services.
He has over 20 years of teaching experience. He has taught piano, music theory, harmony, and history at different universities in Colombia. He is currently teaching piano at different music schools in the Houston area. His passion for music has inspired his students to achieve their dreams in music, and continue their careers in different conservatories and universities.
Vivian Burbano - Voice
Mrs. Burbano was born in Cali, Colombia, with a passion for music. Singing professionally has been her goal since an early age, she has participated in choirs and different performances. She moved to United States with her family at the age of 17. During her senior year in high school her choir teacher inspired her to pursue her studies in music. She studied music a the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX, where she obtained her BA and MLA with an emphasis in Vocal Performance. She has performed in several voice recitals, opera workshops, Opera in the Heights Chorus, master classes, singing competitions, and currently as the lead singer at Bethany Christian Church Choir. She is currently working with her husband - David Burbano on an original classical album. Teaching has become one of her greatest passions. She has been teaching voice at different Houston area schools for the past 5 years. She is experienced in classical training, musical/broadway, jazz, sacred and contemporary worship music.
Diana Jimenez - Piano, Voice and Violin
Diana was born in Cali, Colombia. She moved with her family to Houston, TX at the age of 9. She grew up singing in choirs,ensembles, and with her family in different churches and events.
As a young teenager her vocal training was classical and through the years she progressed to pop and contemporary music. She has led contemporary worship services and is currently one of the worship
leaders at Bethany’s contemporary worship service.
She has been teaching piano and voice for the past 4 years. She cites as her main musical influence her mentor and instructor BCC Director David Burbano. She also studied with voice instructor, opera singer
Frances Fenton. She studied piano with Janice Lee and Jeff Holzaephol.
She has won awards in numerous solo, ensemble and choral competitions.
