Mr. Boylan, a classical trumpet player and Texas native, recently moved back to Houston while he finishes his Doctor of Music from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Boylan holds a Master of Music from Ohio University and a Bachelor of Arts from Centre College. His main teachers include John Rommel, John Schlabach, and Vince DiMartino. He has also studied with Tom Hooten, Mark Hughes, Tony Plog, Al Vizzutti, and Rex Richardson. While in Indiana, Boylan was an active recitalist and chamber musician. He performed regularly with the Louisville Orchestra and the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra as well as the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic, the Hoosier Philharmonic, and the Bloomington Chamber Singers. He started teaching privately during his time at Centre in 2009 and has maintained a private studio ever since. He currently teaches privately in Cy-Fair and Tomball.
